National Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (NCAA FBS) is the top level collegiate American football league in the country. The league consists of 125 schools. Students and fans alike attend live games and tune in on television to watch their favorite schools play every week during the regular season. Unlike other collegiate sports, there is no postseason tournament. Rather, schools compete to participate in postseason Bowl games like the famed Rose Bowl. The top two ranked teams in the country compete in the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) National Championship game in order to determine a true number one and crown a National champion.
