    4 star theater seat view
Orpheum Theatre (San Francisco), section: Orchestra R, row: Y, seat: 22

We have the end four seats (22, 24, 26, 28) in row U. Great seats - plenty close to the stage and close to the exit as well.

The first thing I noticed about these seats was the lack of leg room. I incorrectly assumed that being in the front row would be spacious, but you are right up against a red curtained wall that separates your legs from the orchestra pit. (See pic) So it's a bit of a tight squeeze but once you're in, you have a fantastic view. If you love seeing set and costume details and facial emotions, the front row is for you. Because you are over to the side, you can see slightly in to the wings, but that didn't prove to be a distraction at all for us. (But I personally like seeing how things work) If you need leg room, I'd suggest going a few seats over and get the first row on the side.

Good seat from TKTS-$74 ($140). Beautiful theatre
  • Palace Theatre (Broadway), section: Orchestra Right, row: S, seat: 6

A much better view than I expected from a side orchestra seat. The mezzanine overhang cuts off a bit of the top of the stage, but moving forward any further would have cut into the stage right view. Sound was fine.

Our second seat - 21 - has lots of legroom. The last seat in AA (the first row in the Mezz) ends halfway in front of row A, seat 23

Great view of the entire stage. There is a Balcony overhang but it does not interfere with the stage. Downside is little to no leg room

Aisle seat, somewhat cramped (but I am 5', so it was okay). Would have liked a more central view, but close enough to see faces and details.
