Jackie Robinson

Jackie Robinson was born in Cairo, Georgia in 1919. He played professional baseball for 9 years. Most of his career was spent with the Brooklyn Dodgers and the Kansas City Monarchs. During that time he was awarded the Major League Rookie of the Year Award, the National Most Valuable Player Award, and was a six time all-star. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1962
