Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was born in New York, New York in 1947. He played professional basketball for 20 years. He started his career with the Milwaukee Bucks, though spent the majority of it with the Los Angeles Lakers. During that time he was awarded the NBA Rookie of the Year Award in 1970, the NBA Most Valuable Player Award six times, and the All NBA Team Award. In 1995 he was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame.
